Enjoyed our stay in Ferrycarrick Hotel , only one thing I felt may be a good idea if residence could book the bar for food as it is quite busy at times and there could be a long wait

Jessie scored 4 / 5 on 20/03/2024

My husband and I have not been able to get away for our anniversary or our birthdays because of College and work commitments. I expressed this to the hotel and upon arrival they had a happy anniversary pillow with chocolates and a small welcome platter with chocolate strawberries as well. It was very thoughtful..the room we had was comfortable and clean. It had the most amazing view of the water. We enjoyed drinks and music in the bar and had breakfast in the restaurant which also has fantastic views of the waterfront. We will definitely come again and recommend to anyone traveling to or through Wicklow.

Catherine scored 5 / 5 on 16/03/2024

Very enjoyable experience lift was out of order but we got a ground floor room and could access the hotel though the leisure centre I would be requesting this again as it was more convenient for me as I have mobility issues

Lovely few days away at the Ferrycarrig which is a hotel I have been coming to for years. Staff are lovely, facilities are great with lovely jacuzzi, sauna, etc. and very convenient to get to Wexford town by car. Lidl breaks made it excellent value too - highly recommend!

Olive scored 3 / 5 on 20/01/2023

Room fine bar was closed due to a new carpet being fitted. Was told we could have a drink in the restaurant, went down at 9.30 and was told restaurant was closing so they sent us to the residents lounge which had no heating. It was freezing, ended up bringing our drink up to our room. Breakfast lovely on 1st morning cold on 2nd morning . Had dinner both nights in restaurant which was very nice. Overall disappointed with the whole experience.

Beautiful hotel friendly staff and lovely food. Very relaxing

Orla scored 4 / 5 on 04/10/2020

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting overlooking the water. Very clean, lovely staff, great leisure centre. Ate in the bar first evening and restaurant second evening. Due to some mishap waited over an hour for our food in the restaurant (had about 20mins left of our allocated time). Staff dealt well with our complaint so it's not put me off returning here but would probably eat in the bar next time!

Mary scored 5 / 5 on 28/09/2020

We (a group of 4) enjoyed a terrific, great value break at the Ferrycarrig Hotel. This is my fifth visit to the hotel, and I will return. The hospitality, comfort, location, food and friendliness are super. In these Covid times, the staff were very focussed on distancing, but still managed to be ultra helpful and pleasant, and provided terrific service

Catherine scored 4 / 5 on 21/09/2020

Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel was very clean and had good protocols in place for Covid. Nice location if a bit out of town. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel with excellent food, immaculately clean and has sanitiser everywhere so very safe in these covid times. Only complaint was the first night the mattress was terribly uncomfortable but when I said it the next morning they changed it and it was perfect. Definitely recommend

Super hotel and great value.

Stephanie scored 4 / 5 on 16/05/2017

Absolutely lovely stay here in Ferrycarrig. The staff were absolutely lovely and could not have done enough to help us! Only critique I would have was there was an awful lot of communions on and we went to the bar for some food and drinks and couldn't get a table. Not a huge problem as families had the right to be there for communions was just a little unfortunate. All in all we would go back in a heartbeat!

John scored 3 / 5 on 17/03/2017

clean room and very good restaurant - though did have a funny tummy next morning. Dining room staff were poor at communication and not what one expects in a restaurant.

John scored 3 / 5 on 10/01/2017

Great location, great views, nice food and staff. Good size room with nice view. Excellent Gym and pool. Overall a nice spot. Parts of the hotel are a bit dated. the lift was damp and smelly. Our Shower head was broken and water went everywhere, Bed was OK. But these are only small things. Overall 7 out of 10. Would I go back again.........unlikely as there are better for same cost !

Very pleasant stay at The Ferrycarrig Hotle. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The pool and wellness area are also great. The food was very tastey and not too pricey either. I would return to the hotel without hesitation and hope to do so in the near future!

Fab Hotel. Would have to seriously look for something to fault. Friendly, professional staff. Stunning location and views. Food and drink excellent. All the facilities you need. Am very fussy about hotels and this place is the bees knees. 5 stars.

Ruth scored 5 / 5 on 05/10/2015

Fantastic family friendly hotel. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful, great facilities including a beautiful pool, nice gym. Food is very high quality, with innovative menu in the restaurant and good bar food too. The hotel has a very clean baby prep room with fridge, steriliser microwave and there is a little playground for the kids. Definitely recommend.

Eileen scored 3 / 5 on 26/08/2015

we had a lovely break in the hotel, reception staff were extremely busy when we arrived but very professional and prompt! food in the bar is quite pricey, no extra trimmings like salad etc with the burger, don't like to be too fussy but the 'eton mess'served in the jar was very poor, two strawberries and a little cream and meringue for €5 was poor value. Breakfast was lovely. Very clean hotel.

Anne scored 5 / 5 on 08/05/2015

we really enjoyed out stay, room was perfect, food delicious and leisure centre was very enjoyable, clean and well maintained. staff very friendly and also discrete. Kids really enjoyed the experience also and plemty to do and see in wexford.

I booked a bargain break for my elderly father and myself on your website for 2 nights in the Ferrycarrig Hotel. It was great value for money in a stunning location. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful, restful stay in the sunny south east.

Paula scored 3 / 5 on 03/03/2015

The pool area was dirty and dusty. Pool tiles broken and a lot of rubble on the pool floor. Bar area small for the size of the hotel. Kids club was excellent but far from the bar area, though well supervised. Rooms were lovely, bathrooms very dated. Staff were fabulous.

John scored 4 / 5 on 17/02/2015

Lovely hotel, nice room. and great views. Dinner in Reeds restaurant was 4 stars as you would expect. we had good music and songs in bar afterwards.

Just back from a 3 night break in The Ferrycarraig Hotel, Wexford. Service was fanatstic, great place for kids. Everyone was very helpful and obliging, especially Dara on reception. The only negative would be the food in the bar was a bit pricy but other than that evrything was lovely.

Tomcat scored 5 / 5 on 20/07/2014

Excellent Hotel & Location. Staff were friendliest we have encountered in a long while. Will certainly return.

A scored 1 / 5 on 20/07/2014

Disappointed with the room. Supposed to have got a family room with a double bed, two single beds and the cot for a baby. Instead I was fobbed off with a smaller room with only one single bed, so the children were left sharing a single bed. Also dined in the resteraunt, portions were so small that the children were even complaining. Very disappointed won't be returning.

Trish scored 5 / 5 on 19/07/2014

I stayed her with my husband and two children for 3 nights.staff were very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was great the kids loved it.The hotel was in a great location with a fantastic view of the river and surrounding areas.Food was great very good service all in all it was a great stay would definitely go back.

David scored 4 / 5 on 04/07/2014

We have just recently returned from the FerryCarrig and we were very satisfied with the standard of the hotel. There is a kids club and decent size swimming pool which is kept very clean. The breakfast was very good and the meal we had on the first night we arrived was good value with big portions on the kids menu. If I have any faults is that the room was dated especially the bathroom but nonetheless spotless. I would and probably will return to stay again, so overall 8/10.

Shinty scored 4 / 5 on 27/06/2014

Enjoyed another lovely stay in the Ferrycarrig recently. Staff are very friendly & fantastic location. While I love the inclusion of so much local produce on the nice menus the food is not quite there as a whole. Drinks are Dublin prices too. The pool is a fantastic facility as is the proximity to so many super local attractions. More play facilities for kids would be a big bonus as would better landscape maintenance (there were a lot of cigarette butts in the grass off our deck.) I would happily go back, this was my second stay in as many years

Roy scored 5 / 5 on 21/06/2014

Had another lovely break at the Ferrycarrig Hotel in Wexford. Really you cannot beat this Hotel for location and atmosphere. Sitting on the dry dock having a relaxing drink while looking out at the water. This was my third time staying here and I cannot see myself staying anywhere else in Wexford.

Scross scored 4 / 5 on 20/06/2014

Just returned home after a great family break at the Ferrycarrig Hotel. Family room was very airy and plently of room for the 4 of us. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside of our stay at the hotel was the food. Would stay there again but would opt for just B&B option.

Stephen scored 3 / 5 on 19/05/2014

myself and my wife stayed in the ferrycarrig hotel wexford for three nights bb/1 evening dinner, meals were good in the restaurant but hotel bar food was disappointing .we would not consider this hotel to be a four star hotel more like a three star and would not want to pay any more for it then we did ,it needs a bit of modernizing but saying that it was clean .

Jer1759 scored 5 / 5 on 24/04/2014
